<p>Steven L. Banks, 68, passed away into eternal life on Monday, January 20, 2025. He was born on February 27, 1956. He was the son of the late Leroy C. Banks and Shirley J. Banks, who is still living.</p><p><br></p><p>Steve graduated from Mechanicsburg High School in 1974, where he excelled in football and baseball. He worked at the Mechanicsburg Navy Base and retired in 2019. He worked there for roughly 45 years.</p><p><br></p><p>He was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, best friend, and mentor. He earned many roles because of his kindness, helpfulness, caring nature, dependability, and loving ways.</p><p><br></p><p>He loved sports and was an active bowler, golfer, and hunter. He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, and Penn State football.</p><p><br></p><p>He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Courtney Banks. He is survived by his mother, Shirley “Nanny” Banks (Keith Williams), daughters, Lauren Pauling (Derek), Caitlin Banks, son, Jeb Banks (Lydia Ernvik), grandson Cooper Pauling, his former wife, Pam Banks, his life companion, Caroline Marconi and her sons, Joseph Marconi (Erin) and Jacob Marconi (Sara), and their granddaughter Emma Marconi, brother, Brian Banks, and sisters, Steph Shirley and Tina Renninger, and several nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Malpezzi Funeral Home, 8 Market Plaza Way, Mechanicsburg. The visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of services all are welcome.
