<p>J.E. Jones, a lifelong resident of Williamsburg, Kentucky, born on February 3, 1943, passed away on January 22, 2025. Recognized as the heart of his community, J.E. was the revered owner of Jones Market and other business. J.E. loved and cherished his family and community, believing there was no greater place on earth than home. Over the years, he impacted countless lives as a coach, seeing coaching as far more than a game - it was an opportunity to inspire and uplift. He had a remarkable ability to see the best in others, becoming a bright light to all who crossed his path. For 40 years, J.E. served on the Whitley County School Board with grit, integrity, and grace. His servant's heart was evident in every area of his life, and his commitment to investing in people left them better for knowing him.</p><p><br></p><p>JE is survived by his beloved wife of over 62 years, Joanne (Bowlin) Jones, his sons Donnie Jones (Angie) and Mike Jones (Melissa), his daughter Shannon Jones, grandchildren Heather Roaden (Travis), Holly McCumbers (Jordan), Cody Jones, Jade Balusik (Zack), Kendra Randle (Julius), Hallie Jones, Dilan Gonzalez, Raegan Jones, eleven great-grandchildren, and sisters Joyce Lawson (Jerry) and Bessie Lawson. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law, Phyllis Seiber (Eddie), and a special friend, Razor, many nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cye and Mary (Baker) Jones. Brother(s) Clayton Jones, Jerry Jones, Carl Roy Jones and sister Judy Jones.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 5:00 pm at Croley Funeral Home, 103 South 2nd Street, Williamsburg, Kentucky, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 pm at the same location, officiated by Rev. Bruce Dixon. All who knew and loved Joe are invited to attend and celebrate his remarkable life.</p><p><br></p><p>We encourage all who knew J.E.to share your memories and upload photos to his memorial page as a tribute to his life and legacy.
