<p>Sam Bernal was born August 19th, 1945, in Bryan Texas, to John and Frances Bernal. Where he met the love of his life, Dominga Bernal.</p><p>They met at 14 and 16 and was love at first sight. They married on June 7th, 1964. Sam and Dominga could be seen at dances all over town. They loved watching sports and being around family and friends. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad, where he retired and was very proud to show you his retirement watch, a little over 30 years of service. He truly was THE LIFE OF THE PARTY. They had three children, Mary, Janie, and John. Who he and Dominga loved to coach in sports and helped with The Boys Club of Bryan. They also coached at Little League West. His other few hobbies was to bowl and play in the Old Timers softball league. He loved to cook for his family and was the BEST at making any bbq (most important was his ribs), gumbo, wings, and menudo. He didn’t know a stranger and if you were, you’d become his friend within minutes and love him.</p><p>He proceeds in death by his parents, John and Frances Bernal. His siblings, John Bernal Jr, Eva B. Ramirez, Janie Bernal Ruiz, and Ruth Bernal Singletery, along with many other family and friends whom he loved.</p><p>He leaves behind his wife Dominga Bernal, who he’s been married to for 60 years.</p><p>His Daughter, Mary and son in law Robert Bigley of Killeen, and grandchildren Joe and Nikki Ruiz of Bryan, Tylor Bigley of Killeen, with great grandchildren Madison and Makenzi Ruiz, Mary Jane, McKenna, Memphis, and Bregman Bigley.</p><p>His daughter, Janie and son in law Fernando Martinez of Bryan, and grandchildren Jon and Roxie Garcia of Bryan, with great grandchildren Remi and Anthony Garcia.</p><p>His son, John and daughter in law Lisa Bernal of Bryan, with grandchildren Heather De La Rosa, John and Jamie Bernal, Alyssa Bernal, Joseph Bernal and fiancé Prisila Martinez, and great grandchildren David and Nathan Bernal.</p><p>Sister, Helen Guerrero from Immokalee Florida, sister, Frances & Philip Cornejo from Cedar Park, Texas, sister Rosa & Dan Walker from Bastrop Texas, & Brother Joe Bernal from Pflugerville Texas.</p><p>We would like to invite all who knew and loved him to his services, which will take place on January 27th and 28th.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be held on January 27th, 2025, from 5:00-8:00 pm, with rosary recited from 6:00-6:30pm, at Hillier Funeral Home 2301 E. 29th, Bryan, TX 77802.</p><p><br></p><p>A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on January 28th, 2025 at 10:00 am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 507 E. 26th St, Bryan, TX 77803. Burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>We love and will miss you forever and always! We’ll ALL DRINK TO THAT!</p><p><br></p>
