<p>Merna Joyce Leathem was born September 12, 1940 to William James Leathem and Velma Joyce Hill in Melfort, Saskatchewan.</p><p><br></p><p>She received her education in Silver Park and Melfort.</p><p><br></p><p>On June 28, 1958, she married Don Cameron Marshall in Melfort. Together they raised their family in Saskatoon and Melfort. Don and Merna divorced in 1989.</p><p><br></p><p>Merna moved to Moose Jaw where she met and married Carmen Boss in 1995.</p><p><br></p><p>They lived in Spring Hill, Nova Scotia, Elbow, SK and Moose Jaw, SK.</p><p><br></p><p>Merna was diagnosed with dementia while living in Moose Jaw. Her family moved Merna and Carmen to Melfort and due to declining health, Merna was admitted to Parkland Place in 2014, where she passed away on January 7, 2025 surrounded by family.</p><p><br></p><p>Merna was predeceased by her parents: William James (Velma Joyce) Leathen; brothers: Claire William Leathem and Raymond Gordon Leathem; granddaughter Stephanie Dawn Marshall and father of her children: Donald Cameron Marshall.</p><p><br></p><p>She leaves to mourn her children: Lori (Sheldon) Fletcher, Lenard (Miriam) Marshall, Pam (Elmer) Skiftun, Janice (Cody) Morin, Arlene (Rocky) Lacelle and Maureen Marshall; </p><p>Grandchildren: Carrie Marshall (Nick), Erin (Jeff) Wallington, Michael Marshall (Melanie), Kim (Caleb) Hubbell, Shelann Skiftun, Brenner (Sarah) Skiftun, Tiffany Morin (Andrei), Byron (Liesel) Morin, Shauna (Joshua) Benoza, Curtis (Stacy) Lacelle, Derek (Victoria) Lacelle and Brandon Taylor;</p><p>sisters: Sharon (Bill) Baudistel and Marilyn Nickolson, as well as numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorial donations Dementia society</p><p><br></p><p>The service for Merna will be in form of a zoom meeting (https://www.zoom.com) Information to log in is: 96269817010 password: 951544<br></p>September 12, 1940 - January 7, 202509/12/194001/07/2025
