<p>Mary Ann White-Davis, born on November 28, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully in her home on December 23, 2024, in Bremerton, Washington. She was a beloved wife to Al Davis for 29 years and a devoted mother to her children: Tonya, Nichole, Stacey, Jason; and stepson Al Jr. Mary Ann's legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren—Audriauna, Dontese, Nyle, Ishmael, Jason Jr., Amirah, Skyy, Morocco and Sade; as well as great-grandchildren Winter, Zhuri, and Adrienne. Mary was 1 of 9 children and she leaves behind 4 of her siblings Kenneth, Carolyn, Deborah, and Dennis.</p><p><br></p><p>A woman of remarkable warmth and creativity who could light up any room with her witty jokes and vibrant spirit. Mary Ann had an extraordinary talent for cooking that brought family together during the holidays. Her home was always filled with the aroma of delicious meals prepared with love—a true testament to her passion for nurturing those around her. Many will fondly remember gatherings at her table where she served not only food but also joy.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to being an exceptional cook known for running "Mary’s Marvelous Catering," Mary Ann worked diligently as a cook on the Bremerton ferry for Seventeen years. Her keen eye for design made every space she touched feel like home; friends often referred to her as an interior decorator due to how beautifully she transformed spaces into warm havens.</p><p><br></p><p>Her garden was another reflection of her nurturing nature—filled with vibrant flowers that were treated like babies—and famous collard greens that became legendary among family members. Gardening provided solace and satisfaction while allowing Mary Ann's creative spirit to flourish outside.</p><p><br></p><p>Beyond these talents lay a heart full of compassion; she would lend a helping hand without hesitation whenever someone needed it most. A sister and friend who embodied kindness in all aspects of life—her ability to turn even mundane moments into joyous occasions left lasting impressions on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be greatly missed by many.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorial services celebrating the life of this incredible woman will be held on January 24th from 1-4 PM at Eagles Nest in the community building located at 1195 Fairgrounds Road NW Bremerton WA 98311.</p><p><br></p><p>As we gather together during this time of remembrance let us honor Mary Ann White-Davis—the loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose big heart enriched our lives immeasurably—and carry forward the lessons learned from such an extraordinary soul: love deeply, laugh freely, and create beautiful memories wherever you go.</p><p></p>
