Matthew Philip Tenedorio

Matthew Philip Tenedorio, of Picayune, Mississippi, left this world far too soon on January 1, 2025, at the age of 25. Born on October 6, 1999, in Mineola, New York, Matthew's life was a testament to the joy and passion he brought into the lives of all who knew him. Tragically, his life was cut short by a terrorist attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Louisiana, during the early morning hours of the New Year.

Matthew grew up in a loving family, the cherished son of Louis "Lou" Tenedorio and Cathy Colgan Tenedorio. He shared an unbreakable bond with his brothers, Jonathan and Jeremy Tenedorio, who will remember him as their full of life little brother. His grandparents, Edward and Jane Colgan, along with his nieces and nephews, Dalila, Dante, Leo, and Felix, will forever cherish the memories of Matthew's warmth and playful spirit.

Matthew attended Clearwood Jr. High where he played soccer and the saxophone in the school band. He then attended Northshore High School before transferring to and graduating from Pearl River Central High School in Carriere, MS. He had a passion for music and of course gaming, and he loved to skateboard with Brutus, his beloved German Shepherd. His dream was to someday become a pilot. Also, he had the most amazing knowledge of anything military – airplanes, armory, etc.

Matthew's professional life was as dynamic as his personal interests. As an audiovisual technician for ASM NOLA at the Superdome and the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, he was instrumental with his team in orchestrating the audio and visual elements that made events unforgettable. His dedication to his craft ensured that fans and event-goers were immersed in an experience that was nothing short of magical.

Those who knew Matthew understood that his heart was as big as his smile. His ability to light up a room was matched only by his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His laughter was infectious, and his kindness was boundless. Matthew's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the pursuit of happiness. He was a friend to many, always ready with a joke or a word of encouragement.

Matthew's journey through life was a beautiful reminder that every day is a gift to be cherished. As we honor his memory, let us remember to embrace each moment with the same zeal and love that Matthew did. His was a life full of purpose and joy, and he will be profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell. A funeral service will begin in the chapel at 4:00 p.m. Memories and condolences may be expressed at wwwAudubonFuneralHome.com
