<p><p>Glade I. Amey (née Bachmann), 85, of White Bear Lake, MN, passed away on December 11, 2024, surrounded by her family. Glade was born June 4, 1939, in St Paul, MN, the daughter of Otto Bachmann and Emerald Bachmann Heu (née Foote). She graduated from Johnson High School in 1957, then went on to the University of MN and studied nursing for two years. She married Edward H. Amey on June 20, 1959. They met at a wedding reception and were happily married for 65 years. Glade worked in Private and Commercial Banking at U.S. Bank for 47 years and loved her job.</p><p><br></p><p>Glade was known for throwing wonderful parties and entertaining her beloved family and friends. She loved Christmas and always had an elegant 12’ tree decorated with the most beautiful ornaments. She also always looked forward to her annual trip to the North Shore. Glade loved music, chocolate, and a champagne cocktail.</p><p><br></p><p>Preceded in death by her father Otto Bachmann, her mother Emerald Bachmann Heu, her sister Maureen Gustafson, and her brother David Bachmann.</p><p><br></p><p>Remaining to cherish Glade’s memory are her husband, Edward Amey and her children; Edward K. Amey (Vy), Heather Baker (Dennis), John Amey (Jadene), Allison Sonier (Andrew). Grandchildren; Kenneth Lee (Mitzi), Holly Graham (Trevor), Keri Klegstad (Brian), Thomas Klegstad (Kelly), Jeffrey Amey (Madison), William Klegstad (Gabby), Jenna Amey, Edward Amey III, Faith Baker; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19th from 4 to 7 PM at Honsa Family Funeral Home, 2460 Co Rd. E, WBL, MN 55110.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorial starts at 10 AM with funeral service at 11 AM on Friday, December 20th, at Community of Grace Church, 4000 Linden St., WBL, MN 55110.</p><p><br></p><p>In Lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations in Glade’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.</p></p>
