<p>We are deeply saddened to announce the unfortunate passing of Joseph Alexander Ryder. He passed away peacefully in his residence on November 25, 2024 in Athabasca. </p><p>Alex left this world at the age of 73 to join his life partner of 26 years Teresa (Grace) Keith. </p><p>Alex leaves to mourn, his 4 children: Shawn, Christy, Mandy and Ashley; grandchildren: Shay- Anna, Jaidy-Joan, Haley, Johnny, Dale, Jackson, Kayden, Kara-Jane, Abigail, Zander and Vincent; along with 2 step children: Corrie (Gord) and Darren (Corrine); 1 step grandson Dasan; surviving siblings: Rick (Suzanne), Donna (Dennis), and Debbie (Alan); and numerous nieces and nephews. </p><p>Alex was predeceased by his parents Yvette and Bill Ryder of Ste Rose du Lac, Manitoba. </p><p>Alex was born and raised in Ste. Rose du Lac, Manitoba. He ventured west to Alberta in his early adult years and has been here ever since. Alex was well known in the area as a dedicated, hard-working man and as a good outdoorsman and hunter (which he lived for). </p><p>He and Teresa travelled to many places all over the world, making many memories along the way. </p><p>Alex will not only be missed by his family, but by many friends they made along the way. </p><p>Alex’s family will be planning a Celebration of Life in the spring. </p><p>In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Alex’s name can be made to the MS Society of Canada by visiting their website at&nbsp;MS Canada. </p>
