<p>May 4, 1939-November 26, 2024 </p><p><br></p><p>Ronald Dean Jenkins was born in Ashland, Ohio to Mirl and Irene (Willison) Jenkins. </p><p><br></p><p>Ron was a graduate of Ashland High School. In 1960, Ron married his high school sweetheart, Kay Jenkins. He served at the Air National Guard in Mansfield, Ohio for 38 years. He was a member of AMVETS Post 149 in Polk. Ron enjoyed playing and coaching softball for many years. He’ll be remembered as a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. After his retirement, Ron loved spending time with his grandkids. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan. Ron and Kay spent most of their third act living at Cinnamon Lake and they created a lot of special memories for their grandchildren during this time. His grandchildren will always have fond memories of fishing, watching, and discussing sports with him.</p><p><br></p><p>Ron is survived by his four children; Nancy Gray of Ashland, Mike (Henry Chen) Jenkins of London, England, Mark (Karla) Jenkins of Ashland, and Steve (Natalie) Jenkins of Ashland, and six grandchildren; Ronda (Byron Spreng) Gray, Taylor (Kyle) Bache, Erikka (Austin) Gonzalez, Ryan (Michaela) Jenkins, and Zoe & Emma Jenkins. Ron was able to love on his great-grandchildren Alaina Spreng, Gavin & Miley Bache, and Jaxon & Nava Jenkins.</p><p><br></p><p>Ron was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Dick Jenkins, his sister Dorothy Shorts, and his wife of 63 years, Kay Jenkins. </p><p><br></p><p>Private services will be held for the immediate family.
