<p>Charles Lawrence Norton Jr, 60, Larry, as he was affectionately known, of Beverly, passed away at home on November 24, 2024. He was born in Salem on February 3, 1964, to his late parents Charles L. and Carol (Dennedy) Norton and was raised and educated in Beverly, graduating from Beverly High School with the Class of 1982. </p><p><br></p><p>After high school, Larry enlisted and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Upon his discharge, he worked for many years as a purchaser at Beverly Hospital. Larry was a devout Catholic and a communicant at St. John the Evangelist Church. Known for being selfless and generous, he would not hesitate to help those who were less fortunate than himself. Larry enjoyed the many simple pleasures in life; spending time with family, camping, bicycling and fishing. He touched many lives in many different circles and will fondly be loved, cherished, and missed by all. </p><p><br></p><p>Larry is survived by his beloved wife Debra L. (Lefavour) Norton, also of Beverly, with whom he celebrated over thirty years of marriage together. He is also survived by his sister Beth Sylvester and her husband Fred of Port St. Lucie, FL, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Larry is also survived his brother-in-law Richard P. Lefavour, his sister-in-law Judith (Lefavour) Boucher, his nephews, Christopher Matton Jr., Fred Sylvester Jr., Philp Boucher, Stephen Boucher, and his niece Samantha Sylvester, along with several of feline friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Debra (Norton) DiMarzo. </p><p><br></p><p>His funeral service will be at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A visiting hour will be held prior to the service from 10 - 11 AM. Burial will be private.
