<p>Deborah "Deb" Ann Algire, 75, of Mt. Gilead (formerly of Crestline) passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024, at The OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.<br> <br> Deb was born in Corinth, Mississippi on August 8, 1949, to the late Charles and Martha (Williams) Browning. She married Richard "Dick" Algire on December 28, 1971, and he survives her.<br> <br> Deb was a graduate of Greenfield High School, Class of 1967, and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1971. Mrs. Algire furthered her education by obtaining a Masters of Education from Marygrove College.<br> <br> For over three decades, Mrs. Algire dedicated her life to educating young minds as a Math Teacher at Crestline High School until her retirement in 2014. Her passion and commitment to her students were evident as she was twice voted the "Most Inspiring Teacher" by those she taught.<br> <br> A devoted member of the Philadelphia Church of God, Mrs. Algire was also known for her community involvement, particularly her efforts in getting pickleball courts installed in Candlewood. She also started the St. Joseph Soccer League in Crestline. Deb enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including water skiing well into her seventies, playing bridge, reading, and spending quality time with her grandchildren at their sporting events.<br> <br> A proud supporter of Ole Miss, Mrs. Algire reluctantly embraced her husband Richard's allegiance to Ohio State University. She will be remembered for her unwavering spirit, kindness, and dedication to her family, friends, and students.<br> In addition to her husband, Deb is survived by her children; Lynlee (Pete) Dzugan, Andy Algire, her grandchildren; Theresa, Peyton, Grady, Alex, and her sister, Beth (Tim) Smith.<br> <br> The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses at Hospice of Central Ohio, especially Cheyenne Evans.<br> <br> Friends may call on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Candlewood Lake Lodge, 7326 State Route 19, Mt. Gilead, OH. The memorial service will begin immediately following with Preacher Elder Eric Burns officiating.
