<p>Carl J. Berenz, 73 years old, of Wonder Lake, IL, passed away November 17, 2024, at his home. He was born February 2, 1951, in Chicago, IL, son of Arnold and Grace Berenz. Carl was an honorable veteran of the United States Army. Carl was a hardworking man and dedicated family man. Carl was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Minnesota Vikings. Carl was married to the love of his life, Deborah Berenz, of Chicago, IL.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include: his Wife Deborah; his daughter Christine Rodriguez, together with husband Ryan Rodriguez of Johnsburg, IL; his stepchildren: Jennifer Thompson, together with her husband Christopher Thompson of Island Lake, IL, Gregory Nasky of St. Louis, MO, Laurissa Nasky, together with her fiancé Jeremy Dul of Cary, IL; three grandchildren: Drew Thompson, Kyle Thompson, and Ava Rodriguez; one great grandchild, River Thompson; siblings: George Berenz, together with his wife Patricia Berenz of Brookfield, IL and Amy Kline, together with her husband Jack Kline of Pell Lake, WI.</p><p><br></p><p>Carl was preceded in death by his mother Grace, his father Arnold, and his daughter Michelle.</p><p><br></p><p>A celebration of life will be held from 4 PM until 8 PM Monday December 2, 2024, at Maravela’s, 4 Washington St., Ingleside, IL 60041.
