<p>Helen M. Tomera, age 96, of Schererville, passed away on Thursday, November 14th, 2024. </p><p>She is survived by her sons; Richard (Judy) Tomera, Craig (LeAnne) Tomera, John (Sandra) Tomera, grandchildren; Brittany (Ethan) Chrisman, Ben Tomera, Randy (Lindsay) Tomera, Katherine (Deryk) Gaffney, Christopher (Shay) Gatsche, great-grandchildren; Tyler, Danica, Wyatt, Madison, and several nieces and nephews. </p><p>Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Tomera, and brothers, Lowell and Kenneth Jobe. </p><p>Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024, beginning at 12 NOON at White Funeral Home, located at 921 W. Glen Park Ave. (45th Ave.) Griffith with Pastor Linda Skaggs officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crown Point. </p><p>Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service. </p><p>Helen was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hammond. Helen loved crocheting and gardening, always enjoying the opportunity to get outdoors.
