<p>Lisa P. Duffy, 83, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2024 in Cranford. She was born in</p><p>Brooklyn, NY and was a longtime Cranford resident.</p><p>A Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 10:00 am at the Church of St.</p><p>Anne in Garwood, NJ. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, NJ.</p><p>Lisa was born in Brooklyn, NY to Paul and Rose (nee Rizzo) Pollaro. Lisa worked at The Seamen's</p><p>Bank For Savings where she met her future husband and love of her life, John (Jack) Duffy. They</p><p>were married and raised their children, Margaret and John in Cranford. Lisa was a homemaker and</p><p>also taught religion. Then she began working as a Customer Service Manager at a local messenger</p><p>service. Lisa continued to work and to donate her time helping the homeless at her former church,</p><p>but decided to retire to care for her husband full-time.</p><p>Lisa was predeceased by her parents, her loving brother Ralph Pollaro and his beautiful wife, Etta.</p><p>On April 8, 2020, Lisa’s husband of over 50 years passed away. Then on April 12, 2020, Margaret’s</p><p>husband, Timothy O. Hak died after a long illness. Lisa valued the time she spent with her children</p><p>and grandchildren. However, her life was challenged once again in August of 2020 when her son,</p><p>John, died of a sudden, serious illness.</p><p>Lisa is survived by her beloved daughter, Margaret Hak, and her cherished grandchildren, Patrick</p><p>and Erin Hak. She is also survived by her caring sister, Virginia (Frank) Moltisanti and numerous</p><p>nieces, nephews, and godchildren.</p><p>In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Jack and Lisa Duffy to Mother Seton</p><p>Regional High School, 1 Valley Rd., Clark, NJ07066</p>
