She grew up in Weston, moving to Ceylon in 1989. She attended Daystrom Public School and attended both Junior and Senior years at Emery Collegiate. Libby was a face known by many, be it from her many years as a PSW to working the snack bar at the Markdale Arena, slicing sandwiches at Subway, or as a friendly face at both Scotiabank and Bank of Montreal. Libby was best known for her kind and loving heart, from complete strangers, to those she held most dear, people knew they were seen and heard and loved when they were in her presence. She spent years being a counsellor to friends who shared common ground to some of the battles she fought and won, to running a Dinner program at Christmas time called ‘Come dine with Me’ that gave anyone needing a place to have dinner on Christmas the opportunity to share a meal together. Her generous and outgoing heart was also poured out on animals, especially her beloved pup Maggie. She loved to garden and see flowers come to bloom. She once ran for counsellor and even spent time volunteering and supporting the Chapman House. She was greatly treasured and will be sorely missed by many.

A Celebration of life will be held in the spring, April 5th 2025 at Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception from 11am-1pm.
