<p><b><i>Imogene Alexander</i></b>, 92, passed away at her home in Dallas on Friday, October 18, 2024. She was born December 10, 1931, in Glen Rose, Texas to Huel and Oda Lindsey.</p><p>Her father was a farmer, and her mother was a homemaker. Imogene was one of eleven children, including one half-brother and one-half sister. After graduating from Tarleton State University, Imogene got a job as a nurse at Stephenville Hospital. She worked at the hospital until 1954, when she moved to Dallas and became an executive secretary for Peerless MFG Company. In 1955, Imogene and Todd met at Imogene's family reunion in Hico, Texas where her parents lived. After years of dating and getting to know one another, they decided to get married in 1978 during a trip to Las Vegas and were married at the Candlelight Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas.</p><p>Imogene and Todd loved to travel and loved to brag about the fact that they wore out three motor homes during 33 years of traveling the north and western United States. Their last trip was in 2012, when they visited Palm Springs, CA. Besides traveling, Imogene shared hobbies with Todd such as camping, walking, reading, watching the Dallas Cowboys and bowling on occasion. In September 2012, Imogene and Todd moved from Hico to Dallas.</p><p>Todd preceded her in death on October 7, 2016.</p><p>She is survived by her son, Randy Merriman; brother, Roy Lindsey and wife Linda, brother, Eldon Lindsey; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and extended family members.</p><p><br></p><p><b><i>The visitation will be from 9-10am. Friday, October 25, 2024, at Wiley Funeral Home in Glen Rose.</i></b></p><p><b><i><br></i></b></p><p><b><i>Funeral services will be held at 10am. Friday, October 25, 2024, at Wiley Funeral Home Chapel in Glen Rose. Burial will follow at Nancy Smith Cemetery. Services under the direction of Wiley Funeral Home of Glen Rose.</i></b></p><p><br></p>
