<p>Ramon Sanchez Sr., of Wolfforth, Texas, died Saturday, October 5, 2024 in Wolfforth. He was born August 15, 1940 in Barrancos de Guadalupe, Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico to Cirildo and Inez (Martinez) Sanchez. He married Trinidad Mendoza in San Antonio del Bravo, Mexico on February 24, 1963. </p><p><br></p><p>Ramon enjoyed raising roosters and riding horses. He liked to travel and to eat chile and seafood, especially catfish. Ramon loved to dance and listen to Mariachi music. He enjoyed watching cowboy movies and Las Luchas. He was a huge fan of Pedro Infante and Cantinflas. He also liked Antonio Aguilar and Jose Alfredo Jimenez. Ramon loved all of his kids, but he especially loved his grands. He also loved to work in his garden. Ramon was a very involved Crucillista with the Catholic church and was praying all of the time. He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Ramon “Boy” Sanchez Jr. </p><p><br></p><p>Ramon is survived by his wife, Trinidad; his three sons, Shay Sanchez and his wife, Jacque of Del Rio, Texas, Hector Sanchez and his wife, Elizabeth of Woodrow, Texas and Joel Sanchez and his wife, Angie of Doral, Florida; his four daughters, Patricia Hernandez and her husband, Rito of Azle, Texas, Amy Enriquez and her husband, Daniel of Lubbock, Texas, Rebecca Lee Sanchez and James Blount of Benton, Louisiana and Sandra Tovar and her husband, Jesus of Wolfforth, Texas; his 31 grandchildren; and his 24 great-grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>The family suggests memorials be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.</p>August 15, 1940 - October 5, 202408/15/194010/05/2024
