<p>William “Bill” Blaney, 71, of Morocco, Indiana passed away at his home on Tuesday evening, October 1, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was born in Rensselaer, Indiana on August 26, 1953, the son of William K. and Margaret A. (Bruner) Blaney.</p><p><br></p><p>He was a 1971 graduate of North Newton High School. On July 23, 1983 he married the love of his life, Martha Jones.</p><p><br></p><p>Bill was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of the Morocco Lions Club, the Morocco Jaycees, and the Morocco Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, watching NASCAR, tending his flock of llamas, and listening to music.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Martha Blaney; his four children: Elizabeth, Colin, Stephen and Mark; his sister, Ruth E. Hayworth, sister-in-law Joyce (Ron) Korte, sister-in-law Doris Jones, brother-in-law Dan (Janice) Jones, brother-in-law Tim (Emelyn) Jones; nieces: Janet Hayworth, Sarah (Greg) Uhl, Audrey Jones, Alexis Jones; and nephews: Dan (Jen) Hayworth, Jon (Lorna) Hayworth, Matt (Whitney) Korte, Andrew (Angela) Korte, Nick (Lexi) Korte, Tyler (Sierra) Jones, Morgan Jones, and Logan Jones.</p><p><br></p><p>He was preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law Cecilia, and father-in-law Kenneth; his brother Joseph Blaney; his brother-in-law, Dan Hayworth, and his brother-in-law Greg Jones.</p><p><br></p><p>The family is planning a celebration of Bill’s life for a later date. Steinke Funeral Home has been entrusted with the cremation arrangements.
