Like countless others, I found skydiving (and met Stooby) during a difficult time in life; battling anxiety and struggling to find community in the immediate months following the lockdowns. Much of my life felt up-rooted and astray. Stooby provided an escape from the stress; surrounded by a group like-minded, high-driven individuals. We were a family and he was the dad, brother, and crazy uncle all rolled into one. He took the time to invest in and encourage new skydivers and build a community. He was the humble guide on our journey pushing us to develop. There are not words to describe the gratitude I have for his facilitating this home away from home.
