<p>Norman “Norm” H. Miller, Jr., 80, entered into rest on Saturday September 28, 2024 at York Hospital, where he was surrounded by his daughters and many of his grandchildren. Norm was the husband of the late Sue C. Miller. After Sue’s passing, Norm became the husband of the late Patsy M. Miller.</p><p><br></p><p>Norm was born March 30, 1944 in York. He was the son of the late Norman H. Miller, Sr. and Dorothy G. (Spangler) Miller.</p><p>Norm retired from Wal-Mart, where he enjoyed teaching customers about electronics as well as helping them with their photo needs. Prior to that, he worked at Waynco Inc as a cabinet builder. He also worked for CertainTeed as a millwright mechanic and Custom Built Machinery as a field service tech. Norm was a graduate of William Penn High School. He held membership with the NRA and he recently joined Golden Connections, the Red Lion Senior Center. Norm loved listening to the Golden Oldies, Motown, and even 80s rock. He never got tired of the song Hotel California by the Eagles. You could often find him watching hockey or racing in his free time. In recent months, he found great joy in spending quality time with his family.</p><p><br></p><p>A viewing will be held 12 noon -1 p.m. Saturday October 5, 2024 at the John W. Keffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 902 Mt. Rose Avenue York. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with the Pastor Dustin Godshall officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Rose Cemetery.</p><p><br></p><p>Norm is survived by two daughters: Stephanie L. Ritter (Tim) and Jennifer S. VanOrmer (Lee); seven grandchildren: Amber Miller, Lizzie Edwards (Eli), Cass Ritter, Isaiah VanOrmer (Jasmine), Nathan VanOrmer (Kelsie), Elijah VanOrmer (Jocelyn), Micah VanOrmer (fiancée Ashlyn); and seven great grandchildren: Gloria, Aurora, Olive, Mabel, Eleena, Khloe and Bentley. Norm is also survived by a step-daughter, step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Jeffrey S. Miller and a brother Larry R. Miller, Sr.</p>
