<p>DEICLA, Joseph Thomas – of Midland, age 62, died Friday, September 27, 2024 at My Michigan Hospital in Midland. Honoring Joseph’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.</p><p><br></p><p>Joseph was born July 6, 1962 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late John and Marjorie (Belanger) Dick. He grew up in Montrose, Michigan and graduated from Birch Run High School with the class of 1980. Joseph proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1982 to 1988. Prior to his retirement in 2019, Joseph worked for MCV as a Senior Technician with over 25 years of service. He loved spending time outdoors, gardening, canning and making great maple syrup. Joseph enjoyed building engines, vehicles, and inventing things for people to use. However, his greatest joy in life was his family, especially riding on the tractor and popping wheelies with his grandson.</p><p><br></p><p>Surviving are: Daughter, Lydia Deicla; Grandson, Bennett Joseph Brindley; Siblings, Jon (Angie) Deicla, Kathy (Kelly) Hays; Nephews, Mathis Deicla; Niece, Amy (Trevor) Mattoon. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Sister, Theresa Dick.
