<p>Craig Hyytinen, 79, of Aitkin passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at his home.&nbsp; He was born April 19, 1945 in Aitkin to Paul and Phyllis (Pavek) Hyytinen.&nbsp; Craig enjoyed golfing, fishing on Bow String Lake North of Deer River, hunting and gardening.&nbsp; Craig was a “grill master” and loved barbequing for family and friends.&nbsp; He enjoyed wintering in Arizona and was an avid Vikings and Twins fan. Craig also enjoyed yardwork and cutting trees.&nbsp; He especially loved spending time with his family. </p><p>Craig is survived by his children, Tammy (John) Hillyard, Denise (Kevin) Copt, Cindy (Brian) Recker, Deann (Curt) Phillips, Jerry Menge, Kay (Martin) Opatrny; 8 grandchildren, Jake, Cody, Dustin, Felicia, Jessica, Nicole, Cole and Kate; sister, Diane Landstad; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. </p><p>Craig is preceded in death by his parents; wives, Judith Abrahamson and Lylene Worlie; brother, Gary Hyytinen and sister, Dawn Espeseth. </p><p>Services will be Saturday, October 5 at 11 AM in First Lutheran Church, Aitkin with Pastor Reggie Denton officiating.&nbsp; Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church.&nbsp; Interment will be in Rabbit Lake Cemetery, Aitkin.&nbsp; To leave a message of condolence, please visit:&nbsp; www.srtfuneral.com.&nbsp; Arrangements are with Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Aitkin. </p>
