<p>CARL LEE JOHNSON, SR., affectionately known with great fondness as "Baby Johnson," transitioned into eternal life on September 20, 22024. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on October 31, 1928, to the late Thomas and Almira Johnson. </p><p>Baby Johnson was 95 years of age and a lifelong resident of "The Eastside" in Baltimore, Maryland, where he was born and raised. At a young age, he bravely served our nation as a member of the United States Navy during the tumultuous times of World War II, demonstrating a commendable spirit of duty for his country. </p><p>Upon his return from the service, "Baby Johnson" pursued a commendable career, initially as a Maintenance Engineer with the US Public Health Hospital and subsequently with the Maryland State Government. His passion for nurturing future generations led him to impart wisdom as a substitute teacher in the Baltimore City Public School System, guiding young minds with both knowledge and empathy. </p><p>A proud alumnus of Dunbar High School, "Baby Johnson" delighted in sharing the joys of travel and adventure with his wife and sons, including memorable skiing excursions. He was often found immersed in various home projects for family, showcasing his carpentry skills and creativity. </p><p>Carl Lee Johnson, Sr's story is one of unwavering commitment-to his beloved family, to his country, and to his community. His absence will be profoundly felt by all who had the privilege of knowing such an honorable gentleman. </p><p>Baby Johnson was the quintessential family man, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion. He is survived by his devoted and unwavering son, Carl Jr. (wife Michaela); and his daughter, Brenda Johnson; along with his cherished grandchildren, Tony Trusty (wife Angel), Cequoia Johnson, Caleb Johnson, Tamika Johnson, Miki Johnson and Malcolm Johnson, Jr. He joins in eternal rest his dearly missed wife, Evella Johnson, his son, Malcolm Johnson Sr., and his daughter, Cynthia Malone, three brothers Edward Sr., Rudolph Sr. and Norman Sr. His memory will be cherished by his sixteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Addie Johnson, Christine Kendall, Cynthia Klenk, Jean Rance, Joyce Branch; a medley of nieces, nephews and others who held him in the highest regard. </p>October 31, 1928 - September 20, 202410/31/192809/20/2024
