<p><a href="//www.hdezwebcast.com/show/sue-mary-bisaillon-service">Stream the service here</a></p><p><br></p><p>FARMINGTON, ME – Susan Mary Bisaillon, a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, teacher, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2024. Born on August 15, 1958, in Limestone, Maine, to David and Mary Lou Hanlon, Sue graduated from high school in Pelham, NH, where she made lasting memories with friends. Whether hosting lively gatherings at her home or enjoying weekends at the beach, those early years were filled with laughter and connection.<br></p><p><br></p><p>After earning her degree in Education at Keene State College, Susan dedicated over 40 years to nurturing young minds in the Farmington community. Known for her creative lesson planning, out-of-the-box thinking, and colorful outfits that matched her engaging lessons, she was a positive influence on her students, always encouraging them to reach their full potential.</p><p><br></p><p>Art was another passion for Susan, which she shared with her husband, Roger. Together, they ran Blue Moon Clay Carvers, traveling around New England to showcase their artwork at galleries and art shows for 34 wonderful years.</p><p><br></p><p>Even after retiring from teaching, Sue continued to give back. She volunteered with the local school district of SAD 9 and spent meaningful years in California, where she and her son Evan contributed their time to The Painted Turtle, part of the Paul Newman Hole in the Wall Gang camps for children with serious and life-threatening illnesses. In her later years, she took great pride in supporting the Travis Mills Foundation.</p><p><br></p><p>Susan is survived by her loving husband, Roger Bisaillon; her devoted son, Evan Xanthos; daughter-in-law, Emily Xanthos; and her cherished grandchildren, Theo and Harper. She is also remembered fondly by her brothers, Steven and Mark Hanlon, along with her nieces and nephews. Susan’s impact will continue to resonate in the lives of the many people she touched throughout her lifetime.</p><p><br></p><p>Family and friends are invited to attend Susan’s visitation on Friday, October 4th, at Wiles Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington, from 3pm-5pm and 6pm-8pm where a celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October 5th, at 11am, which will be livestreamed at www.wilesrc.com. In honor of Susan’s spirit, the family invites everyone to celebrate her memory by wearing bright colors.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, Susan’s family kindly requests that donations be made in her honor to the Travis Mills Foundation at https://travismillsfoundation.org. Cremation care and arrangements are under the direction of Wiles Remembrance Center of Farmington.</p><p><br></p><p>Rest in peace, dear Sue. Your light will never fade.</p>
