<p>Rosemarie "Ree" Taggart</p><p><br></p><p>Age 62, of Estell Manor, New Jersey, passed away unexpectedly on September 3, 2024, in Estell Manor, New Jersey. She succumbed to a massive pulmonary embolism, which developed shortly after completing her final round of chemo treatment for Hodgkin’s lymphoma.</p><p><br></p><p>Born on April 24,1962, in Somers Point, New Jersey, Rosemarie, known to many as "Ree," lived in Birdland, Egg Harbor Township, and Estell Manor throughout her life. She was the beloved daughter of Isabella and Michael B. Meloro.</p><p><br></p><p>Ree earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The Richard Stockton College in Pomona, NJ. Her commitment to service extended beyond civilian life; she served honorably in the Air National Guard as a Clinical Nurse with the 177th Fighter Wing, EHT, NJ, from October 1, 1982, to March 2, 2005. During her distinguished military career, she was activated in support of Operation Noble Eagle from 2001 to 2002 and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2005.</p><p><br></p><p>In her civilian career, Ree was a dedicated Emergency Room nurse at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center – Mainland Campus from 2003 until her passing. Prior to AtlantiCare, Ree worked at Linwood Convalescent Center for over a dozen years. Her unique combination of dedication, compassion, and expertise earned a tremendous amount of respect and admiration from colleagues and patients alike.</p><p><br></p><p>Ree was a loving wife, mother, and cherished member of her extended family. She was known for her kindness, comforting presence, and role as the centerpiece of many family gatherings and friendships. Her warmth and caring nature made her an angel to all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed. Ree was enthusiastic about traveling, camping in her "Shiny Piney" Airstream RV, reading, and cheering on her children. She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, unwavering dedication, and love of life.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her loving husband, Don Taggart; her children, Morgan Duggan and Connor Taggart; her mother, Isabella Meloro; her siblings, Michael Meloro II and Denise Kellner; and her beloved dogs, Damon and Daisy.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be held Sunday, September 8, 2024 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main Street, Mays Landing, NJ 08330, with a service starting at 2:00 PM. </p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ree's honor to:</p><p>St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital <a href="https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html?sc_icid=header-btn-donate-now" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.stjude.org/</a></p>
