<p>Catherine “Kate” Josephine Woodall, born on September 12, 1935, peacefully passed away on September 3, 2024, just days shy of her 89th birthday. A devoted wife to Robert “Bob” Woodall for 64 wonderful years until his passing in 2017, Kate was the heart and soul of her family. </p><p>She is survived by her four loving children, Mike (Katy), Steve (LaVonna), Tim (Amy), and Suzy (Rick); brother, Karl Kohl (Cathy); cherished grandchildren, Kandi, Jeff, Jenny, Abbie, Ryan, Jessica, Nolan, and Emma; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren who will carry on her legacy of love. </p><p>She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Margaret (Cox) Kohl; husband, Bob Woodall; and brothers, Tom Kohl and Tony Kohl. </p><p>Known for her kindness, creativity, and quick wit, Kate embodied the true essence of a matriarch. Her home was a sanctuary filled with laughter and warmth, where she hosted countless family gatherings and holidays. A gifted baker, she delighted her family with incredible desserts, recipes that remain unmatched, and memories made during cherished vacations in Ft. Myers, Florida. </p><p>Kate was not only a nurturing mother and grandmother but also a talented seamstress. Her impeccable attention to detail shone through her work at Evelyn Karges’s Interior, where she crafted exquisite pieces for Tay Ruthenburg and Eddie Erickson. Her passions extended to gardening and cooking, where her love for flowers and culinary creations brought joy to all who knew her. </p><p>Deeply loved, adored, and revered, Kate’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She leaves behind a rich legacy of love, creativity, and cherished memories. Though she will be deeply missed, the essence of Kate Woodall will continue to inspire and guide her family for generations to come. </p><p>Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 9, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Father Ted Tempel officiating. Entombment will be in Park Lawn Mausoleum. </p><p>Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 9, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel. </p><p>A Live Stream will be available beginning twenty minutes prior to the service time.
