<p><p>Graveside service with full military honors for SFC (ret) James S. Cole, 67, of Elgin, OK will be held at 9:00 a.m., Friday, September 6, 2024 at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, OK under the direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service.</p><p><br></p><p>He was born April 27, 1957, in Heidelberg, Germany. He was the son of Ernest and Marianne Cole. James graduated from Karlsruhe American High School in Germany in 1975. He joined the Army in 1975 and attained his associates of science degree from Cameron University in 1991. He retired from the Army in 1995. James then had a short period of employment until receiving a 100% disability retiring from, the Department of Veterans Affairs.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his daughter, Andrea (Shaun) Barnes, sister, Linda (Bob) Schonbok and nephew Michael Schonbok. </p><p><br></p><p>James is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Marianne. </p><p><br></p></p>
