Richard "Dick" Al Williams
<p>Richard Al Williams of Harbor Springs, MI passed away on August 22, 2024. </p><p>He was born November 8, 1934 to Roy Alton Williams and Yeteve Mary (Robinson) Williams Chellis on the Robinson farm. He attended Five Mile Creek School, graduated from Harbor Springs High School, and attended Ferris Institute. He married the love of his life, F. Ann Williams in 1957 who preceded him in death in 2022. They raised 3 daughters, Retina (Tina) Calhoun, Alesia (Lisa) Dunlap, and Merinda (Mindy) Kruzel. He was so proud of his girls and gave all of the credit to his beloved wife. He loved his sons-in-law, Bill Calhoun, Danny Dunlap and Jeff Kruzel, as if they were his own. </p><p>Early in his life he worked on the cement boats, John LA Galster and Medusa Challenger, but spent much of his working years at Boyne Highlands. He never retired from work, as he started Dick Williams Memorials in 1973 and could never really give it up. His great desire was to provide excellent care remembering others’ loved ones. </p><p>He loved being with people including hanging out at the coffee shop, golfing with his buddies, class reunions with his dear friends, card games with friends or family, sharing lunch at the Harbor Springs Friendship Center, and spending his winters in Punta Gorda, FL. He was a member of Harbor Springs Masonic Lodge #378. </p><p>He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law along with grandchildren, William (Gabriela) Calhoun III, Richard Elliot (Chara) Calhoun, Elizabeth (Martin) Serva, Kathrine (Christopher) White, Clay Dunlap, James Richard (Kathryn) Dunlap, James (Marleah) Kruzel, Andrew (Rebekah) Kruzel, Austin (Kelly) Kruzel, and Jasmine (Austin) Tiemersma. He is also survived by 22 great grandchildren. </p><p>The family would like to thank all those who supported Richard and his family including the caring staff at Independence Village. Following his wishes, there will be no services. The family will gather privately at a time to be determined to honor his life. </p>November 8, 1934 - August 22, 202411/08/193408/22/2024
