<p><p>Brenda F. Brennan, age 74, of Rome, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024 at Lacon Rehab and Nursing.</p><p><br></p><p>Brenda was born on June 19, 1950 in Fayetteville, TN to Walter Ray and Eunice (Adams) Shaddy, Sr. She married William James Brennan on February 7, 1976 at St. Mark’s Church in Peoria, IL.</p><p><br></p><p>Surviving are her husband, Bill; her sons, William J. (Renee) Brennan, II, Edward Ray Brennan and Patrick Allen Brennan, all of Chillicothe, IL; her fur-baby, Ace; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Walter Ray Shaddy, Jr.</p><p><br></p><p>Brenda was a stay-at-home mom while her boys were young. Once they were in high school, she started working for Eurest at Caterpillar, retiring in 2016. She was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church in Chillicothe and the Henry Yacht Club. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, riding motorcycles and boating. She was an avid sports fan, especially her Cubs, Bears and NASCAR.</p><p><br></p><p>The family would like to thank the tremendous staff of Lacon Rehab and Nursing and Traditions Hospice for their excellent care of Brenda.</p><p><br></p><p>Cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 11am at St. Edward Catholic Church in Chillicothe. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 5pm to 7pm at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe as well as one hour prior to Mass on Saturday at the church. Memorials in Brenda’s name may be made to the Fred Meister Chillicothe Community FireFighters Association or to the family for the Lacon Rehab & Nursing Media Room Project.</p></p>June 19, 1950 - August 26, 202406/19/195008/26/2024
