<p>Michael John Maltese Jr, 42, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center. </p><p>He was born August 4, 1982 in Hackensack, New Jersey to Michael John Maltese Sr and the late Elaine Karen Preusch Maltese. </p><p>Survivors include his father, Mike Maltese Sr; brother, Philip Maltese (Lina Bennett); niece, Emery Maltese; nephew, Hunter Bennett; an aunt, Maryann Kantor; uncle and aunt, Ron and Carolyn Szymanski; and his cousin, John Luterzo. </p><p>He preceded in death by his mother. </p><p>He was a die-hard Jets fan. He loved his video games and enjoyed a good laugh. His carefree personality left its mark on anybody that had the pleasure of meeting him. He will be greatly missed by everyone. </p><p>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to help offset funeral expenses. </p><p>The family will have a memorial service on Saturday, September 7, 2024.. </p><p>We at Davie Burial and Cremation are honored to be serving the Maltese family. </p>August 4, 1982 - August 24, 202408/04/198208/24/2024
