<p>Linda Priest Hendrix-Overton, age 75 of Laurinburg departed this life on Saturday, August 24, 2024. </p><p>She was the loving daughter of the late Walter and Thelma Edwards Priest, born April 7, 1949 in Scotland County, NC. Along with being a homemaker, Linda worked in retail for many dedicated years with Walmart. She served as a member of Hillside Freewill Baptist Church. Linda loved working on crafts, helping her community by volunteering in the food bank, and taking her adored friends to various appointments. Memories shared and time spent with her family and friends gave her the greatest joy. Linda was a loving mother, grandmother, adored sister, and devoted friend who will truly be missed. </p><p>Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Donald B. Hendrix; brother, W.L. Priest; and sister, Louise P. Harrell. </p><p>Left to rejoice in her memory, is daughter, Donna Hendrix-Williams and husband, Lee of Laurinburg; sister, Susan Tyndall of Raeford; and grandchildren, Abigail Williams and Zachary Williams; along with a host of extended family and her many friends. </p><p>Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow the service in the Highland Biblical Gardens, Raeford, NC. </p><p>Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening, August 27th from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>April 7, 1949 - August 24, 202404/07/194908/24/2024
