<p>It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Nancy Evelyn (Allen) Pilger of Bracebridge at the age of 65 on August 19, 2024. Nancy passed away at Andy’s house after a long battle with cancer surrounded by family. Nancy was born in Bracebridge on January 16, 1959 to Walter (pre-deceased) and Shirley Allen. </p><p><br></p><p>Beloved wife of Brian Laws , Mother to Jeremy Pilger (Nicole), Wendy Playford (Chris) , Sean Pilger (pre-deceased). Nana to Cameron, Adeline, and Edward Pilger, Ryley and Taylor Playford. She will also greatly missed by the family dog ,Kodi. </p><p><br></p><p>Beloved sister to Brian Allen (Donna), Barb Holmes (Brian), Linda Allen (Gunter), Susan Allen (Barry), Gail Kuehn (Tim), Brenda Allen (Ben), brother in-law Doug Laws (Kathy). Aunt to her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews </p><p><br></p><p>Nancy was happiest when she was Nana, she loved seeing and spoiling all of her grandchildren.</p><p>Nancy had a passion for gardening, and her gardens have always been beautifully blooming. </p><p>Nancy was a gifted Furniture Seamstress/Upholsterer and she used her talent to create a successful business for herself. </p><p><br></p><p>Celebration of life will be held at the Bracebridge Legion on September 29, 2024 12pm-3pm. All who knew and were touched by Nancy are welcome to drop by to share their memories with her family & friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Nancy’s family would like to Thank all the staff at Andy’s house in Port Carling for their care & compassion they showed both Nancy and her family in her final days. </p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Andy’s House in Port Carling at 16 West Street Ontario P0B 1J0 (705) 646-1697.
