<p>On Thursday, August 16, 2024, Edwin (“Ed”) Jukniewicz, loving husband of<br> Vincenza, peacefully passed away at the age of 88. </p><p>He was born on May 1, 1936 in Hillside, NJ. He was a graduate of Seton Hall and<br> earned a Master’s degree in science which led him to a career in Research and<br> Development for the pharmaceutical company Sandoz. After retirement from<br> Sandoz, he worked for Middlesex County for 18 years after obtaining his health<br> inspector license. </p><p>Ed was a gifted musician, playing both the piano and accordion. He was with the<br> Gene Mendalski &amp;&nbsp; the G-Men polka band, who were nominated for a Grammy<br> award. He also used his talents to entertain family, friends, and residents at<br> nearby nursing homes. </p><p>He is survived by Vincenza, the love of his life for 42 years, along with his sons<br> Edwin and Bryan, his daughters Andrea and Alicia. He was preceded in death by<br> his son Adam. Ed is also survived by his step-children: Basilio, Frederika, and<br> Marina, and 6 grandchildren. </p><p>Ed was very proud of his faith and patriotism. His kindness, wisdom, and<br> compassionate spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of<br> knowing him. </p>
