<p>David "Dave" James Boland was born in Arvada, CO to Elizabeth and Bernard Boland on October 10, 1967. He died, unexpectedly, in his home, on Sunday August 11, 2024.</p><p><br></p><p>Dave grew up in Arvada, Colorado. His father died when he was 6 years old. He is survived by his wife, Deanne Boland of Littleton, CO; his mother, Liz Kaffer of Arvada, CO; two sisters: Sheila (David) Thompson of Westminster, CO; Susie (Joe McCann) Boland of Brighton, CO; and three nieces and two nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>Dave graduated from Arvada High School in 1986. He graduated from Metropolitan State College, Denver, CO, in 1990 majoring in Business Administration.</p><p><br></p><p>Dave and Deanne married on June 28, 2002, and met through playing soccer. Dave grew up playing soccer and he was a scholarship soccer player his complete collegiate career. Dave was passionate about travel and World Cup soccer. Several times he and Deanne were able to combine travel and World Cup in Germany, Russia and South Africa.</p><p><br></p><p>Dave was a favorite Uncle to Matthew Thompson of Austin, TX; Emily (Isaac) Keene of Phoenix, AZ; Tyler Murphy of Ottawa, KS; Samantha McCann of Fort Collins, CO; Stark Beard of Madison, WI. Dave (and Deanne) loved travelling, and they wanted to share that love with their nephew and nieces. After their High School graduations, Dave and Deanne took them on trips outside of the US, sharing their love of visiting new places and teaching them about foreign travel.</p><p><br></p><p>Dave enjoyed being outdoors whether riding his Harley motorcycle in the mountains or walking his beloved dogs: Porter, Xavi and Baxter. (Dave was a big believer in adopting rescue dogs.) He was an avid skier, spending many winter days in the Colorado mountains. Dave also loved to see live music and travelled very often to see concerts and festivals.</p><p><br></p><p>After graduation, Dave worked for Janus Funds. However, Dave never enjoyed working at a desk. After several years he began working in the real estate world, buying houses, improving them, then selling them. This allowed Dave to exploit his entrepreneurial skills and allowed him to maintain a real estate business throughout the decades of highs and lows in the Denver area real estate market.</p><p><br></p><p>Dave’s body was cremated, so there will be no viewing nor burial.</p><p><br></p><p>Celebration of Life information:<br></p><p>• Friday, September 6th, 2024, at 10:00am</p><p>• Chapel at Ellis Family Services, Funeral and Memorial Care</p><p>13436 W. Arbor Place, Littleton, CO 80127</p><p><br></p><p>Dave was an informal man. Please feel free to wear colorful attire or your favorite soccer jersey or scarf to this Celebration of his life.</p><p><br></p><p>A reception will follow immediately at Peak Community and Wellness Center, 6612 S. Ward Rd., Littleton, CO 80127. (They are about 3 minutes apart in drive time.)</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers from individuals, please make donations in Dave’s name to:<br></p><p>• Dumb Friends League (Animal Rescue)</p><p>• Outdoors Colorado (Trails and outdoor spaces).</p><p><br></p>
