<p>Gregory "Greg" A. VanWinkle, aged 65, of Evansville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 29th, 2024, surrounded by family at Linda E. White Hospice House.</p><p><br></p><p>He was born on August 18, 1958, in Evansville, Indiana, to the late Robert and Mary Florence (Pendleton) VanWinkle. Greg was a loyal husband, father, and grandfather.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Mindy VanWinkle; his children, Jake (Stephanie) VanWinkle and Dane (Sally) VanWinkle; his beloved grandchildren, Reagan, Shepard, Calvin, and Silas; step-children, Tyler and Whitney Letterman; and siblings, Robert “Bobby” (Alva) VanWinkle, Mark (Terry) VanWinkle, David (Cindy) VanWinkle, Donna Harper, and Cindy Wolf-Wall.</p><p><br></p><p>Greg was preceded in death by his parents & sister, Nancy Reiter (VanWinkle).</p><p><br></p><p>Greg graduated from Central High School in 1976 and retired from DSM Engineering Plastics with over 40 years of service.</p><p><br></p><p>Known for his love of music, Greg enjoyed attending concerts near and far with his family and friends. He would often be found outdoors working around the house, routinely walking his beloved dogs, and following his favorite sports teams and events. Greg was a lifetime member of the Riverbend and the Order of Owls Club.</p><p><br></p><p>Above all, Greg cherished every moment spent with his wife, Mindy, who stood by his side through life's journey. Everyone who knew Greg will deeply miss his humility and appreciation of life's simple joys.</p><p><br></p><p>A celebration of Greg's life will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday, July 5, 2024 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711, with Pastor Brad Fuller officiating.</p><p><br></p><p>Friends may visit from 11:00 am until service time on Friday at Browning Funeral Home.</p><p><br></p><p>The family would like to thank Linda E.
