<p>1932 ~ 2024</p><p><br></p><p>Farmington – Jane “Frenchie” O. Binette, 92, of Farmington, formerly of Livermore Falls, passed away peacefully, Sunday, June 16th at Woodlands in Farmington. She was born February 25, 1932, in Auburn, the daughter of Joseph Peter Levesque and Alexandrine Dianna (Morin) Levesque. Jane attended Livermore Falls High School until the age of 16, when she left and went to work at the Norwock Shoe in North Jay. She worked as a floor girl in the stitching room. When Bass bought the factory in 1977, she kept her position as floor girl. Jane later became assistant supervisor in the stitching room at the North Jay factory. She worked in the position for several years, earning special reignition for her performance, before her retirement after 40 years in 1988. On May 28, 1955, in Chisholm, Jane married Henry V. Binette. They enjoyed 18 years together before his passing on February 17, 1974. Jane was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. She enjoyed bargain shopping, traveling, and bingo. She very much enjoyed being able to help anyone in need. She is survived by her special niece Charmaine Schippers and husband Jack of Wind Gap, PA., special nephew, Michael Tanner and wife Jean of Pawtucket, RI., nieces, nephews and close friend, Lisa Berry and family of Jay and her work friends from the shoe shop who met regularly. She was predeceased by her parents, her stillborn daughter, husband Henry Binette and by her longtime friend, Hazel McCutcheon.
