<p>Robert E. Stevens, 89, of Lock Haven, went to his Heavenly home on Sunday, June 23, 2024 following a brief stay at Lock Haven Rehabilitation.<br> Born August 23, 1934 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Forest and Thelma (Koch) Stevens.<br> Following graduation from Lock Haven High School in 1952, Robert enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. While serving, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He was honorably discharged in May 1962.<br> On July 1, 1966, he married Connie Ann Bitner, who survives at home. They would have celebrated their 58th anniversary this year.<br> Robert was a mason laborer until being employed at Hammermill Paper Company, where he worked from 1958 until his retirement in 1983.<br> He was a member of the Flemington First Church of Christ.<br> Robert was an avid sports enthusiast, especially enjoying Penn State wrestling. He and his wife, Connie, often took antiquing day trips together. Robert loved spending time with family and friends.<br> In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Betty Garland, Margaret Packer, Kathryn Clark, Shirley Ford, Meda Weatherington and a half-brother, Daniel Brown.<br> Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.<br> Services for Robert will be held privately on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 10 AM until 12 Noon at Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745.<br> In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., Mill Hall, PA 17751. </p>
