<p>E. Paul Martin, 92, passed away peacefully, June 8, 2024 at the Caring Place.&nbsp; Paul lived in Irwin Township, Venango County.&nbsp; </p><p>Paul was born June 30, 1931, a son of the late Elmer G. and the late Myrtle R. (Grossman) Martin. He was a seventh-generation descendant of David Martin and wife Nancy, one of the first original five families to settle in Irwin Township, Venango County in 1799. </p><p>He attended one room Eakin Elementary School in Irwin Township and graduated from the former Wesley High School in 1949 and graduated the following year from Clintonville High School to complete four years of secondary education. </p><p>Paul married Vivian Smith in the Amity Presbyterian Church on May 22, 1952, with family friend and relative the Reverend Doctor Clyde Detrich officiating. Paul and Vivian met in elementary school when she was in first grade, and he was in second grade. They had been married for 70 years. Vivian preceded him in death, dying February 6, 2022. </p><p>Survivors are daughters Lorraine Garner, Kennerdell, Dr. Karen Martin, Grove City, Susan Stallard and husband Brad, Grove City. Grandchildren: Tanya McFadden and husband Corey and their children, Cole, Alexis, and McKenzie, Kennerdell, James Garner, Boyers, Elizabeth Knauff and husband Andrew and daughter Rio, Grove City, Chelsey Blake and husband Andrew and son Colt, Stoneboro, Collin Moreton and wife Jackie and their children Brooke and Phillip, Curwensville, Pa., Bradford (Bear) Stallard and fiancé Kara Kutsch, Indiana, Pa., and Sarah Stallard, Grove City and fiancé Hunter Fitzingo, Boyers. </p><p>Also surviving are sister Betty Donaldson, Mercer, sister-in-law Pearl Smith, Grove City, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. </p><p>Paul served in the United States Air Force for four years during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged from the Military at Andrews Air Force Base near Washington D.C. with the rank of Staff Sergeant. </p><p>Paul was a member of the Amity Presbyterian Church. He served as Elder, was on the Building and Grounds Committee and participated in the many activities of the church. In his younger years he enjoyed playing on the church softball team. </p><p>Paul was employed by Peoples Natural Gas Co. and retired from there after 40 years of service. He most of all enjoyed farming and raising beef cattle and growing acres of corn and small grains on his farm. He continued to farm for many years after his retirement from the gas company. He also enjoyed fishing, many vacations in Canada, and hunting small game and deer. He harvested many deer from his tree house in the woods on his own property even at age 89. </p><p>He was preceded in death by his wife Vivian, his parents and grandparents, niece Amy Turner, nephew Gary Turner, sister-in-law Faye J. Smith, sister-in law Betty Hinds, brother-in law Walter Hinds and brother-in-law Earl Smith. </p><p>Visitation will be held at the Amity Presbyterian Church, 4605 Scrubgrass Road, Grove City, PA 16127 on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. with funeral services starting at 11:00 a.m.&nbsp;&nbsp; The Reverend Willard Morse will be officiating the service.&nbsp; Burial will take place at Old Log Cemetery. </p><p>The Larry E.
