<p>John "Jay" Pittroff, 82, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away on June 8, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Jack and Elaine (Lowenstine) Pittroff.</p><p><br></p><p>Jay, a proud Navy veteran, served his country with honor for four years. After his military service, he pursued a successful career as an award-winning sales and financial executive. His dedication and hard work were evident in all aspects of his life.</p><p><br></p><p>Known for his magnetic personality, Jay was a man who never met a stranger. He had a passion for life, music, theater, and sports. An avid athlete at heart, he enjoyed playing golf, basketball, football, racquetball and softball. Jay was also a talented singer and guitarist, and he loved spending time with his family, watching sunsets, eating his wife’s spaghetti and meatballs, and going for walks. His love for his family was unmatched, and he was a devoted husband, father, and papa.</p><p><br></p><p>Jay will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Michelle "Chelle" Pittroff, his children: Jay (Colleen) Pittroff, Steve (Anna) Pittroff, Chad (Christy) Pittroff, Kelli (Bryan) Stoker, Kristin (Brent) Wygant; his grandchildren: Brett, Stephen, Sedric, Jack, Elaina, Kyle, Carter, Harrison, Coraline, Elleanor, Charlie, and Henry; his great-grandchildren: Nevaeh, Maliah, Dominic, Clara, and Ayla. As well as numerous friends and family.</p><p><br></p><p>He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Elaine, and his brother Perry and sister Janet.</p><p><br></p><p>Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Ferguson Funeral Home 202 East Main Street in Plain City, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with the funeral service taking place on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 12:00 pm with Father Joseph Trapp officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Grove Cemetery with military honors by the US Navy.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in memory of Jay. www.komen.org/donate</p><p><br></p><p>Jay's legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be remembered for his unwavering integrity, sharp wit, and kind spirit.
