<p>Ed Sheppard</p><p>July 10, 1943 - June 3, 2024</p><p>Ed passed away after an epic battle with cancer, leaving behind his wife of 40 years Pat (Lutz) Sheppard, as well as many loving family members and close knit neighbors of the Mount Adams community. Ed's lifelong dream to transform a small, below street level bar into a "must see" night spot registers among Cincinnati's best known watering holes. The Blind Lemon at Loudon and Hatch Street is one Ed's most notable creations. Guests are surrounded by an eclectic mix of collectibles, pairing well with devoted Lemon regulars who return to sit out under starry summer skies or warm by the fire in autumn or winter. The Lemon will go on without missing a beat in the capable hands of Walter Brown, a friend and faithful manager for 50 years.</p><p><br></p><p>Ed added the Mt. Adams Bar and Grill to his list of creations in 1990, achieving operational excellence under the masterful hand of his wife Pat. The Grill is a place that quickly becomes a home to many community residents. It is truly a place where "everyone knows your name".</p><p><br></p><p>As a patron of the arts, Ed and Pat Sheppard provided decades of support to the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Krohn Conservatory, and the Cincinnati Art Museum. The Blind Lemon and the Bar and Grill are a popular spot before or after attending one of the events in Eden Park. </p><p><br></p><p>Eddie was truly a legend and one thing we know is that "Legends live forever even in our memories."</p><p><br></p>
