<p>Ethel Marie Miller, 90, of Woodcrest Villa, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, with her family by her side. Born in Strasburg, she was the daughter of the late Harry H. and Anna (Harnish) Ranck. She was the loving wife of the late John G. Miller.</p><p><br></p><p>Ethel was born and raised on a farm in Strasburg. Shortly after they were married, she and John moved to Norma, New Jersey, as part of a church plant in the 1960s. Ethel supported her husband as they raised their family on a farm and in his work as the pastor of Norma Mennonite Church, until his passing in 1984. Ethel then returned to Lancaster, where she served in the cafeteria at Lancaster Mennonite High School. She also worked at the former Good N’ Plenty Restaurant. Ethel was a member of Sunnyside Mennonite Church in Lancaster for many years.</p><p><br></p><p>She had a passion for God’s word and was known as a faithful prayer warrior and generous supporter of Christian ministries. She enjoyed playing piano, growing flowers, crocheting, preparing large meals and playing board games with her family. She adored time spent with her children and grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>Ethel is survived by 5 children: Glenn (Kathleen) Miller of Lancaster; Jane (Charles) Caldwell of Millville, NJ; Joann (Keller) Hopkins of Georgetown, DE; Jean (Pierre) Viaud-Murat of Bloomfield Hills, MI; and Dean Miller of Georgetown, DE. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lindsey Karrer and siblings, Park Ranck, Helen Lehman, and Harry Ranck.</p><p><br></p><p>A private service will be held by the family. Interment will be in the Erisman Mennonite Church Cemetery, Manheim, PA.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
