<p>Elaine C. (Ciano) Fritz, of Braintree, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2024, at the age of 64. Born on June 16, 1959, in Boston, she was the treasured daughter of the late Anthony and Ruth (Plunkett) Ciano. Elaine's gentle spirit and warm heart touched the lives of everyone she encountered.</p><p><br></p><p>Elaine was the embodiment of love and devotion as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her beloved husband Joseph D. Fritz, and her adoring daughters, Rebecca Durham of Braintree and Kelsey Fritz of Randolph. Her role as a cherished grandmother to Harper Durham brought her immense joy and pride. Elaine's loving presence will also be deeply missed by her sisters, Carol Mullen and her husband Steven of Dedham, Susan Bevilacqua and her husband Steve of Medway, and she was predeceased by her brother Thomas Ciano. Her extended family of nieces, nephews, and friends will forever hold Elaine in their hearts, remembering the countless memories shared and the indelible impact she made on their lives.</p><p><br></p><p>A proud graduate of Dedham High School, Elaine furthered her education by earning her Bachelor's Degree from Boston University, followed by a Master's Degree in Education and Reading from Framingham State. Her passion for education and literacy was evident through her more than 15-year tenure as an elementary school teacher for the Town of Attleboro. Elaine's dedication to nurturing young minds made a lasting difference in the community and the lives of the countless students she taught.</p><p><br></p><p>Beyond her professional accomplishments, Elaine's interests and activities enriched her life and those of others. She found solace and pleasure in reading and cherished her time spent at her house in Harwich on Cape Cod. Elaine's greatest joy was found in the simple moments spent with her family, whom she loved unconditionally.</p><p><br></p><p>Elaine's character was the epitome of thoughtfulness. She approached life and her relationships with a genuine kindness that made everyone feel valued and loved. Her ability to listen and offer words of encouragement was a gift that she generously gave to all who knew her.</p><p><br></p><p>As we bid farewell to Elaine, we celebrate a life beautifully lived. Her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will continue to inspire and guide us. Elaine's unwavering spirit and the lessons she imparted will remain with us, as we hold her memory close in our hearts. Her family takes comfort in knowing that Elaine's spirit will live on through the memories they cherish and the love she spread throughout her remarkable life.</p><p><br></p><p>Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation period on Saturday, June 8th, from 11:00 – 1:00 PM in the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., Braintree. A prayer service will be take place at 1:00 PM in the Funeral Home.
