<p>Mark S. Markuson, 70, of Gloucester, husband of Rosemarie (Interrante) Markuson passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at the Hunt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Danvers, MA.</p><p><br></p><p>He was born in Gloucester, MA on November 20, 1953, son of the late Augustus K. and Grace (Palazola) Markuson.</p><p><br></p><p>Mark was a life-long Gloucester resident. He was a graduate of Gloucester High School, Class of 1972. He worked for Gorton’s of Gloucester for over 40 years.</p><p><br></p><p>Mark enjoyed the simple things in life, he was a New England sports fan, had a dry sense of humor, worked hard, and was proud to provide for and care for his family.</p><p><br></p><p>He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.</p><p><br></p><p>Mark is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Rosemarie Markuson; his son, Benjamin Markuson; sisters, Christine Willis, and Mary Jane Rix (Jon); niece, Toby McCormack; sister-in-law, Annette Murray (Dean); brothers-in-law, Buddy Interrante (Carmen) and Jim Interrante; and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>He was predeceased by his brother, Gus Markuson; brothers-in-law, Benny Interrante, Ray Willis and his in-laws, Mary, and Jimmy Interrante.</p><p><br></p><p>In keeping with his wishes there will be no services.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers think of him and do something nice for someone you love today.</p><p><br></p><p>Arrangements by Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester, MA 01930.</p><p><br></p><p>For online condolences please visit www.greelyfuneralhome.com</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
