<p> Our dear mother Yvonne H. Chavez sadly passed away on August 16, 2023 at the age of 90. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was always thinking about us, and praying for us and we loved her very much. She will be terribly missed.</p><p>Yvonne was born on December 7th to Dominica and Michael Harragon in Gardnerville, Nevada where they lived and worked on a dairy farm. They later moved to Reno where Yvonne attended and graduated from Reno High School. She met and married Manuel Chavez and together shared two daughters. </p><p>Yvonne worked at Nevada Bell for 40 years before retiring and continued to enjoy the rest of her life in Reno. She spent her retirement traveling to see her daughters and grandkids, visiting with friends at monthly lunch dates, going on outings with various family members and selflessly assisting dear friends in need. She enjoyed being in her cozy home and loved when family came to visit her. Yvonne will be deeply missed by a multitude of friends and family who loved her. </p><p>Surviving Yvonne are her two daughters Danielle Moore (Tim Moore) and Andree Chavez. Six grandchildren: Marie Moore, Eddie Moore (Leisa Moore), Gloria Moore (Jeff Czerniak), Daniel Moore (Rona Moore), Nikki Brown (Jon Clemons) and Darcy Brown (Jerron Allen). Eight great-grandchildren, Isabella Brown, Kaylyn, Avery and Keaton Moore, Ella and Elijah Moore and Micah, Noah Allen, and Sonora Czerniak Moore.. </p><p>Funeral services will be held for immediate family only. Please watch for email on celebration of life gathering. </p><p><br></p>
