<p>Sharon Porter Gray was born July 24, 1961 to the late Mr. Freddie and Ernestine Porter. Sharon was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida and attended the Duval County Schools. A proud alumni of Jean Ribault Senior High School, home of the Mighty Ribault Trojans, Class of 1979. </p><p><br></p><p>Sharon’s greatest treasure was working with adults in the field of behavioral health. Sharon never knew a stranger and everyone that she encountered was forever changed. Sharon was a fire filled praiser and one of her joys was singing in the choir and working with the youth.</p><p><br></p><p>Sharon departed this life on July 19, 2019. She was preceded in death by her father, and oldest brother, Carey Porter. </p><p><br></p><p>Sharon leaves to cherish her loving memory: a devoted husband of 27 years, John Gray; brothers, Fredrick Porter and Bruce Porter (Marva); sisters, Vanessa Boyd, Belinda Jamison (Heber), Sheila Porter, Sarastine Monroe, and Beverly Edwards-Pollock; god-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gallon; godchildren, Rakeem MacArthur and Felice Laster; very special friends and mentors, Martha and Dianna Greathouse; a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, friends, and the Class of 1979 Trojans.</p><p><br></p><p>Sharon Gray passed away Friday, July 19th, 2019.
