<p>Keri Elizabeth Cargo of Aberdeen passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 24, 2022. Keri was 40.</p><p>Born in Havre de Grace, MD, Keri was the loving daughter of Mark F. and Jacqueline M. (Culp) Mentzer of Chincoteague, VA. Along with her parents, Keri is survived by her devoted husband of 13 years, Brian L. Cargo; sons, Caleb G. Richardson of Aberdeen and Kenneth R. Cargo of Venice, FL and her brother, Christopher Mentzer, his wife Renee of Havre de Grace. Keri was the grandaughter of the late Noble and Dorothy Mentzer and Jack and Roberta Culp.</p><p></p><p>Keri worked as a security specialist for the Department of Defense on APG and was recognized with many awards. Keri and Brian enjoyed family time with their boys and camping together. Keri was an active supporter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the Out of the Darkness Community Walks following the suicide of their son Tommy in 2020.</p><p><br></p><p>A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 29 from 1-3pm and 6-8pm at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home where a funeral service will be held on Friday, September 30 at 11:00am. Interment will be at Spesutia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be to AFSP, Attn: OOTD Walks, 199 Water St., 11th Floor, NY, NY 1003 or at https://supporting.afsp.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.participant&amp;participantID=2666340 in honor of her late son, Thomas Cargo.</p>
