Kurt Lee Linhart, 66, a resident of Pennsburg, PA since 1985, passed away at Masonic Village at Elizabethtown, PA on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, after a lengthy illness. He and his wife, Barbara A. (Obermeier) Linhart, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on March 13th of this year.<br><br> <br><br>Born November 2, 1955, in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of the late Harris and Grace (Bigenho) Linhart. He was a 1973 graduate of Perkiomen Valley High School and then attended trade school for welding and electric. He worked as an electrician and was employed by Universal Electric of Perkasie, PA, for many years.<br><br> <br><br>Mr. Linhart was a long-time member of Lower Skippack Mennonite Church. He was also a former member of Lower Milford Township Volunteer Fire Company and Skippack Fire Company. He enjoyed working on cars and drag racing. He was an avid hunter and a loyal Penn State and Philadelphia Eagles fan. He was very resourceful, enjoyed working with his hands, and was very proud to have built his own house.<br><br> <br><br>Kurt was always up for a good laugh and was known for his endless stories and good advice. Regardless of the circumstances, he always maintained a positive and joyful attitude. He was happiest when spending time with his family.<br><br> <br><br>In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kristen Haas and her husband, Ryan, and their children, Hannah and Brooke, of Coopersburg, PA; and a son, Kurt Linhart and his wife, Julie, and their children, Avery Jo and Matthew, of Allentown, PA. He is also survived by three sisters, Gale Kratz and her husband, Gary, of Skippack, PA, Lindy L. Postell and her husband, Scott, of Boyertown, PA, and LeeAnn Smith and her husband, Wade, of Hummelstown, PA.<br><br> <br><br>Family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Lower Skippack Mennonite Church, 892 Evansburg Road, Skippack, PA, and again from 10-10:45am on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at the church. The public funeral service will then begin at 11am on Wednesday at Lower Skippack Mennonite Church and burial will follow at New Goshenhoppen UCC Cemetery in Pennsburg, PA. For those desiring, contributions may be made in his memory to Masonic Village at Elizabethtown, One Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Funeral arrangements are by the R. L.
