Ruth M. Rouse was born in Denver Colorado on January 27, 1925 to Winifred Rose and Edgar Thomas Richardson. She grew up in Denver’s Washington Park area and was a graduate of South High School class of 1943. Ruth married Thomas Young Rouse on June 8, 1948 at Evanston United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Tom, her mother and father and her 2 sisters Jeanette Fengler and Roberta (Bobbie) Wheeler and their husbands Clyde and Grant. Ruth was a lifetime member in the order of the Eastern Star Chapter 126 and served as their Worthy Matron in 1973-1974. She was a housewife and a stay at home mom for many years. It was in the early 1960’s when she began working at Meadow Gold Dairy in their accounts receivable department. This is where she worked until 1987 when she retired. Ruth was the mother of 2 children, Thomas Floyd Rouse of Sioux City Iowa and Sandra Kay Towne of Littleton Colorado. She was the grandmother of 8 grandchildren: Kellie Stolte, Kevin and Timothy O’Shea, Benjamin, Jeremy, Isaiah, Tesia, and Jonathan Rouse and she was abundantly blessed to have 16 great grandchildren. Ruth lived a long life filled with love for her family. She passed away peacefully on January 21, 2022, 6 days before her 97th birthday.
