Grant N. MoxleyEATON: Grant Nelson Moxley, Jr., 75, of Lebanon Rd., passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton. He was born on January 7, 1946 in Oneonta, NY, eldest son of Grant N., Sr. and Isobel All Moxley. He was a 1964 graduate of Laurens Central School. From 1966 until his honorable discharge in 1969, Grant served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Francis Scott Key submarine as a sonarman based in Groton, CT. Grant married Marjorie Nelson in Laurens on June 19, 1966. He learned his skills as a draughtsman at CCBI and worked most of his life in the electrical engineering world, including, most recently, Ametek in Binghamton, NY, as a printed circuit board designer. He enjoyed his lumber mill and had great plans for it. Grant had a special place amongst his Amish neighbors and friends. He was a spiritual man of great faith. He committed a great deal of time every day studying the Holy Scriptures and seeking how Christ would have him apply them to his life. His family brought him great joy. Surviving are his 2 daughters: Bonnie and Lane McIntyre of Alexandria, VA; Jenny and Todd Slabaugh of Morrisville; brothers, Ronald and Patricia Moxley of Laurens and Daniel Moxley of Laurens; sister-in-law, Mary Nelson Drachler of Bainbridge; his grandchildren: Micah, Matthias, Caleb and Naomi McIntyre of Alexandria, VA; Nathaniel, Aaron, Moriah and Peter Slabaugh of Morrisville; 5 nieces and 2 nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph, of Laurens. Services and interment in the Laurens Cemetery will be private at the convenience of his family.
