Carol Childs, 71, of Belmont Avenue passed away on October 26, 2021 at Duke Medical Center. She was born in Kentucky to the late Ben Childs Sr. and Ann Thomas Childs. A memorial service will be held at 11am, Monday, November 1, 2021 at Freedom Life Church of God. Survivors include, her children, Dr. James-Etta Goodloe Reed (Craig), and Melissa Fuller Brice (Rodney), along with seven grandchildren, Jaime, Brittany, Dominic, Cierra, Nicholas, Demarcus and Dyrod. and a great-granddaughter Niaya. Along with siblings David Childs, JoAnn James (Vincent), Doug Childs, Wayne “Scotty” Wooten;  one aunt, Margaret Murphy and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
